Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah has declared that the Ghana Premier League title race is far from concluded, despite the team currently trailing leaders Medeama SC by eight points.
With 13 matches remaining in the season, Amoah stressed the importance of unity and belief in turning the club's fortunes around.
"It’s not over," Amoah emphasised during an interview on Akoma 87.9 FM. "Our supporters should continue to believe in us and stand by us through both the tough times and the good times. I truly believe that everything is going to be alright."
Currently fifth in the standings with 35 points, Kotoko's season has been marked by inconsistency, coaching changes, and early cup exits. Yet, Amoah insists the team is capable of mounting a serious challenge if backed by a united front.
"They shouldn’t give up on us, and they should come out in their numbers to support the team," he added. "Honestly, without them, it feels like we aren’t playing for anyone."
As the club prepares for a crucial Super Clash against Hearts of Oak on February 15, Amoah's words serve as both a reassurance and a challenge â to his teammates to perform and to the fans to keep faith when it matters most.
