Denmark-based Ghanaian forward Prince Amoako Jr has disclosed his dreams of playing for the senior national team
The 18-year-old FC Nordsjaelland star has been in fine form in the Superliga, scoring 5 goals and delivering four assists in 17 appearances for the Wild Tigers.
However, he is yet to receive an invite to any of Ghana's national team.
Meanwhile, his teammate and fellow Right to Dream Academy graduate Caleb Yirenkyi has been a key figure for the Black Stars since his debut in May of 2024.
Amoako Jr has been discussing the Black Stars with Yirenkyi and his desire to be a part of the team, which is his ultimate dream.
“We’ve had conversations about the national team but it’s never been about what’s on the inside,” he told Joy Sports.
“On the outside from what I see, the national team is always good to play. You’re representing your country and representing the very place that made you.
“For me, it’s always a big deal to play in the national team and to be called up for it. It would mean the world to me and it would just elevate my confidence and everything else will just align.
“But right now, to play in the national team is a very big dream for me.”
