Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko is keeping his focus on goals as his team prepares for Hearts of Oak, with training centred on finishing and play.
After a mixed run, Tanko accepts that goals have not come easily, but he believes steady work on the training ground will change that. Medeama have won two and drawn three of their last five matches, a run that shows stability, even if the scorelines have not been kind.
Speaking ahead of the Hearts game, the coach laid out the plan.
“There is only one thing to do. We always need to train on goal scoring and that is what we are doing. This is a tough league so it’s not easy to score goals but we are doing our best to come back to scoring many goals," he told Medeama TV
Tanko knows Hearts will offer resistance, but he trusts his players to stay patient, move the ball, and take their chances when they come.
Medeama hosts Hearts of Oak on January 4 at the TnA Stadium.
