Sirlord Conteh has made a welcome return to FC Heidenheim training after spending two and a half months on the sidelines with a torn outer meniscus.
The German-Ghanaian winger rejoined his teammates this week, bringing renewed energy and optimism to the squad that had dearly missed his explosive pace on the flanks.
Coach Frank Schmidt confirmed Conteh’s return during Thursday’s media briefing, saying, “He returned this week and is training with the team again.” Conteh’s comeback marks a significant boost for Heidenheim, who have lacked his attacking drive and quick transitions in recent matches.
However, Schmidt remains cautious about rushing him into full competition. The manager explained that Conteh’s involvement against FC St. Pauli will depend on how well he responds to the first few intense sessions of team training. A final decision on his inclusion will be made shortly before matchday.
Conteh’s return adds depth to Heidenheim’s attack and signals a positive step forward in his recovery journey.
