Former Ghana international Anthony Baffoe was full of praise for the Black Queens on Tuesday night after the team’s defeat to the Lionesses of England.
The Lionesses hosted the Queens at St. Mary’s Stadium in their final match of 2025.
In the close contest that ensued between the two impressive national teams, England secured a 2-0 victory, with the Black Queens putting up a top performance.
Sharing his thoughts after the match, Anthony Baffoe noted that he is convinced the Black Queens have a solid team and called for support for women’s football.

In his post-match interview, Ghana coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren lauded the efforts of his players, noting that his team is moving in the right direction.
“As a coach, you always want to win. But we are 67th in the world and faced a team that may be the best in the world right now. We can be proud of our performance, and we feel we are moving in the right direction,” he said.
