Aduana FC coach Aristica Cioaba says his side must continue improving “game by game” as they prepare for Sunday’s clash with Ghana Premier League defending champions Bibiani GoldStars at Dun’s Park.
Aduana enter the weekend as league leaders, but Cioaba insists their position carries little meaning at this stage of the season and warned that progress must remain steady and deliberate.
GoldStars remain one of the strongest home sides in the league and have kept three consecutive clean sheets at Dun’s Park, a record that gives them confidence after last weekend’s loss to Nations FC.
Aduana, however, arrive in Bibiani unbeaten in seven matches, a run that pushed them to the summit after victory over Berekum Chelsea.
Cioaba emphasised the need for controlled improvement, saying: “As you see, what happened is not about waiting to stay in the first position.
“It’s waiting for our team to improve game by game, play better than the last game. This is the first plan.”
The league leaders have also won three of their last six meetings with Gold Stars, including a 2-0 triumph eight months ago.
