Aduana FC coach Aristica Cioaba says his players must elevate their physical and mental levels when they face Bibiani GoldStars on Sunday, stressing that the defending champions’ intensity requires a disciplined response.
Aduana have climbed to the top of the table with seven unbeaten games, but the Romanian insists the weekend fixture will test their resilience more than recent outings.
GoldStars, despite losing to Nations FC last week, remain formidable at Dun’s Park with three straight home clean sheets.
They have also won 12 of their last 20 matches, demonstrating consistency that continues to trouble opponents.
Aduana’s confidence stems from strong recent form and a favourable head-to-head record, having beaten GoldStars 2-0 in March.
Cioaba highlighted the need for peak conditioning and concentration, stating: “Maybe we need more running than the opponent, more strength than the opponent, more mental concentration from the first minute to the 90th minute, because this game is different.”
