Ghanaian forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh proved to be the match-winner for FC Aarau, scoring a crucial goal in the 81st minute to seal a 2-1 away victory against Neuchâtel Xamax on Friday, November 28, 2025.

The goal was Barnieh's fifth of the season in the Swiss Challenge League, a vital strike that halted Aarau's recent downward trend of two consecutive defeats.

This win ensures FC Aarau remains level on points (36) with league leaders Vaduz, keeping the pressure on for the top spot in the promotion race.
