The Black Queens wasted no time after arriving in England, clocking in their first training session at Aston Villa’s Bodymoor Heath Training Ground ahead of Tuesday’s high-profile friendly against the Lionesses.
Braving a freezing night in the West Midlands, the Ghanaian side looked sharp and vocal, with players huddling together between drills to stay warm and locked in mentally for the task ahead.​
Head coach Kim Lars Björkegren and his assistants put the squad through an intense, high-tempo workout, mixing positional play, pressing exercises and quick transition routines designed to mirror England’s pace and physicality.
For many of the players, training at such a world-class facility underscored the magnitude of this test, as they continue preparations for upcoming continental campaigns.​
