Nations Football Club are through to the Round 32 stage of this season’s MTN FA Cup after beating Kumasi Ebony FC 2-1 on Wednesday.
The Ghana Premier League side welcomed the lower-tier club to the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex today to do battle in the Round 64 stage of the domestic cup competition.
On the matchday, Nations FC enjoyed the lion’s share of possession, scoring in the first half to go into the break with a narrow lead.
After the recess, Kumasi Ebony FC improved their performance in a bid to turn the game around to cause an upset.
Unfortunately, Nations FC had a lot of quality and held firm to secure a 2-1 victory as both teams scored a goal in the second half.

Elsewhere in Tamale, Karela United FC also defeated Wa Power FC 1-0 to advance to the Round 32 stage of the MTN FA Cup.
Later tonight, Medeama SC will lock horns with Rospak FC in their Round 64 tie at TnA Stadium.
