Karela United FC are through to the Round 32 stage of this season’s MTN FA Cup after beating Wa Power SC 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Ghana Premier League club hosted the lower division outfit at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in the Round 64 stage of the competition.
Heading into the contest on the back of a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Holy Stars, Karela United fielded a strong starting eleven, determined to overcome the FA Cup opponent.
Although the two teams created good goal-scoring opportunities in the first half, neither side could find the back of the net.
After the break, Karela United continued to mount pressure on Wa Power SC and finally had the breakthrough when Danlad Nuhu scored with a fine effort.
