Kobina Amissah led his Bechem United team to a hard-earned point on Saturday and he believes their discipline made the difference.
The match against Medeama ended 0-0, but Amissah stood proud of the way his players handled the challenge from the defending Ghana Premier League champions.
Throughout the match, Bechem United stayed focused and organized, closing down every threat from Kelvin Nkrumah and Prince Owusu. Medeama came close to stealing the win late in the second half when Augustine Okrah fired a fierce strike that smashed the lower part of the post, leaving fans holding their breath.
Goalkeeper Benjamin Asiedu Kwesi was one of the standout performers. He produced sharp saves at crucial moments to keep Bechem United in the game and secure a valuable clean sheet.
After the match, Amissah highlighted the smart work done by his players on the wings.
"They were tactically disciplined because we watched Medeama and we realised that they will play from the wings so when we break the wings which means they have nothing to do. They will resort to long balls too we have the advantage because the attackers facing with their back while their defenders are facing with their front so they see the ball more than their defenders. So we know that we will hold the wings from them when we hold the wings there is nothing they can do," he said.
Bechem United now sit 14th on the league table with 10 points.
