Alhassan’s first appearance came on November 14 against Chad, a game Uganda won 2-1. He started alongside Bobosi Byaruhanga and played the entire first half before being substituted at halftime.
Four days later, the FCSB man featured again against Morocco, entering at halftime in a more challenging encounter.
The match ended in a 4-0 defeat, offering the coaching staff insights into squad strengths and areas for improvement.
These friendlies form part of Uganda’s preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Coach Paul Put used Alhassan’s outings to evaluate his readiness for competitive matches at the continental level.
Alhassan’s integration into the squad is expected to provide fresh options in central midfield and enhance tactical flexibility. His performances against Chad and Morocco signal the start of a promising international career for the young midfielder.
With the AFCON approaching, Uganda will rely on players like Alhassan to strengthen their campaign and improve their chances in high-stakes tournament encounters.
