The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will host its annual awards ceremony on Wednesday night at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat, Morocco, recognising outstanding performances across African football.
Ghana features among the nominees with the Black Queens in contention for the Women's national team of the year award after placing third at the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco earlier this year.
The event celebrates excellence across both men’s and women’s football, including categories for African Player of the Year, Women’s Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Men’s Coach of the Year, Young Player awards, Clubs and National Teams, and the Goal of the Year.

Hosted by Beninese artist Angélique Kidjo and Moroccan comedian Oualass, the ceremony will also feature performances by Moroccan singer Douaa Lahyaoui, Congolese star Awilo Longomba, and Ghanaian musician Fuse ODG.
Due to the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League, winners of the Women’s Coach, Women’s Interclub Player, and Women’s Club of the Year awards will be announced at a later date.
