The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Trophy made a notable stop in Boulogne-Billancourt, just outside Paris, on Thursday, 13 November.
After travelling through Angola, Nigeria and South Africa, France became the latest country to welcome the iconic symbol of African football. This trophy continues to unite fans across the continent and beyond.
The visit forms part of a global tour led by TotalEnergies in partnership with CAF ahead of the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Morocco 2025, which begins on 21 December 2025 and runs until 18 January 2026.
While in France, the Trophy was showcased on L’After, the flagship football programme on RMC Sport, followed by millions of listeners each year. It was also present during a recording of After Afrique, RMC’s dedicated African football podcast, which produced a special episode to mark the occasion.
Its presence sparked excitement among journalists, analysts, influencers, and guests, many of whom seized the rare opportunity to see the trophy up close.
The stop in Paris highlighted AFCON’s growing influence beyond Africa, particularly in a region with a vibrant African diaspora. After visiting France, the Trophy travelled to CAF headquarters in Cairo, before heading to Côte d’Ivoire for its next exhibition tour from 30 November to 2 December.
