The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, is optimistic his team remains a candidate for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title following their victory against Eleven Wonders.
The Yellow and Mauves played away to Wonders on Sunday and secured a narrow 2-1 triumph at the end of what was a very close contest.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Ibrahim Tanko praised his players for grinding to amass all three points, noting that the win keeps their league title ambition alive.
“Yes, I mean, looking at the important points today, I think we are on course. In the first half we didn’t do well, but I think I the second half we managed to get the win, and that’s the most important point. Congratulations to the boys,” Ibrahim Tanko told the press.
Having defeated Eleven Wonders in Week 10, Medeama SC are back on top of the Ghana Premier League standings.
The team will next host Bechem United during Week 11 of the ongoing league contest.
