Aduana FC coach Cioba Aristica insists his team will approach Sunday’s visit to Asante Kotoko with confidence, not fear, at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Premier League leaders have been in strong form, winning four consecutive matches and extending their unbeaten run to five games, including a 0-0 draw against Medeama SC last weekend.
Aduana have conceded just one goal in their last five outings and maintain the joint second-best defensive record this season, having scored nine goals and allowed four.
Aristica said, “Sunday is a big test, no doubt. We are going into a tough ground against a tough opponent. We’ve worked too hard, grown too much, and shown too much quality to walk into any stadium with doubt.”
Asante Kotoko, coached by Abdul Karim Zito, enter the fixture unbeaten in the league, securing a narrow 1-0 victory over Hearts of Oak and a 0-0 draw against Vision FC in recent matches.
Kotoko currently sit seventh with 15 points from seven games, with two fixtures in hand that could improve their league position significantly.
The Porcupine Warriors hold a psychological edge, having defeated Aduana in three of their last five home encounters, including one draw and one loss.
