Aduana FC captain Alex Boakye says the team is confident ahead of Sunday’s clash against Asante Kotoko at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Boakye highlighted the squad’s strong morale after four consecutive wins.
He said, “For us, it’s another opportunity to compete, enjoy the game, and try to win. Nothing more, nothing less. The mood in camp is good, the boys are confident, and we’re going there with a clear mind.”
The Premier League leaders have been difficult to stop this season, conceding just four goals in seven matches while scoring nine, maintaining one of the league’s best defensive records.
Aduana’s unbeaten momentum continued with a 0-0 draw against Medeama SC last weekend, extending their streak to five matches, with four wins in that run.
Asante Kotoko enter the fixture as the only unbeaten side in the league, holding 15 points from seven matches and two games in hand that could boost their standings.
Coach Abdul Karim Zito’s Porcupine Warriors have edged Aduana in recent history, winning three of their last five home encounters, giving them a psychological advantage ahead of Sunday.
