Sports Minister Kofi Adams has shared his disappointment about the current state of Ghana’s colts and local football league, describing the situation as worrying but showing hope for gradual improvement.
The Minister reflected on the challenges facing youth and domestic football, particularly in terms of funding and management. He also highlighted the money the clubs got ahead of the 2025/26 season.
"I am not too impressed with the colts and also even by extension our local league but it is step by step. even funding was a big challenge to the league. sometimes when they complete the season money that should be given to them becomes a problem," he told Peace FM as monitored by Ghanasoccernet.com
"Today as I speak to you through the directives of the President we have put a system in place that has enabled us to give every club a million Ghana cedis to start the league with," he added.
