Sports Minister Kofi Adams has reaffirmed his support for Otto Addo, insisting the Black Stars coach remains firmly in charge despite public speculation about tension between them.
Adams explained that his comments on the team’s performance were often misunderstood, clarifying that constructive criticism does not mean dislike.
"Excellent he is my coach not been excited about someone's performance doesn't mean that I dont have a relation with him. You know that me I am a teacher those times in Adisadel College I teach students those times in Adisadel College I could teach children one will get 80/100 I will say no room for improvement another person will get 70 and I will congratulate the person because I know where the person is coming from to get to this 70," he told Peace FM as monitored by Ghanasoccernet.com
"So I see quite a lot of progress another person will get 80 but I will still critique that person even though is sometimes even higher that 70. But in terms of commentary I will different commentary to two marks the lower one may seem positive for me depending on the person that is involved.
"Yes the coach is winning he has won since I became minister we play six games he won five and drew one which is good we are getting the results that we getting. But after the game analysis that is after the game that we see it makes me feel sometimes edgy and uncomfortable and I have to speak to those things it doesn't mean I dont like him,"
