Ghana head coach Otto Addo has announced his squad for the international friendly matches against Japan and South Korea this month.
With several key players, including Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, and Alexander Djiku, unavailable for the matches, the coach has handed opportunities to new players.
Among the new faces earning their first senior call-ups are Prince Kwabena Adu, Kelvin Nkrumah, and Prince Osei Owusu.
Adu Kwabena, a striker currently playing in the Czech Republic and formerly of Bechem United, has impressed with his consistent performances and now has the opportunity to prove himself on the international stage. Medeama SC’s Kelvin Nkrumah also joins the squad, bringing fresh energy to the wing.
Prince Osei Owusu, now with CF Montreal, previously played for Toronto FC, where he scored nine goals in 31 appearances. Born in Wertheim, Germany, Owusu began his professional journey with VfB Stuttgart’s reserve team in 2015.
He later moved to TSG Hoffenheim, scoring 17 goals over two seasons, and continued his career in Bundesliga 2 with Arminia Bielefeld. A loan spell at TSV 1860 Munich saw him contribute eight goals and six assists across all competitions.
With these additions, Ghana’s squad is set to test its depth and talent against Japan and South Korea.
The first of the two games against Japan will be played on Friday, November 14, before the encounter against South Korea comes off on Tuesday, November 18.
