Frank Junior Adjei scored a stunning opener to set Hammarby on course for a 3â0 victory over Elfsborg in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
The Ghanaian midfielder struck in the 17th minute with a right-footed effort from outside the box that flew into the top corner, giving the home fans plenty to cheer about at the 3Arena.
Frank Junior Adjei was at the heart of Hammarby’s dominance, completing the most passes in the game (66) and winning nine duels. He also endured rough challenges, being fouled five times, but never lost his composure. His control in midfield gave Hammarby rhythm and confidence throughout the match.
Paulos Abraham added two more goals in the second half, finishing calmly in the 49th and 61st minutes to seal the victory. Hammarby controlled possession with 61 percent and produced 21 shots compared to Elfsborg’s five.
