Black Princesses head coach Charles Sampson was full of praise for his players on Monday after the team defeated Benin in their second meeting at the 2025 WAFU B U20 Girls Cup.
Speaking in his post-match interview, the coach said he was impressed by the character his players showed to secure the victory.
“We wanted a win today, coming back from a defeat to Nigeria, and we got it. We got a win and the girls showed good character, and I was impressed with it,” Charles Sampson told the Ghana FA Media.
Ghana’s Black Princesses cruised to a 2-0 win over Benin on Monday in their reverse fixture in the ongoing WAFU B Girls Cup.
On the matchday, goals from Sarah Nyarko and Latifa Musah propelled coach Charles Sampson’s side to the win.
The triumph means the Princesses have completed a double over the host nation at the tournament.
