Hearts of Oak Communications Director, Kwame Opare Addo, has urged supporters to stay united behind the team despite their narrow 1-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko in Sunday’s Super Clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Opare Addo admitted the loss was disappointing but maintained confidence in the team’s quality and determination to bounce back.
“We didn’t get the three points we were hoping for, but there are a lot of games to be played. I must admit that it’s painful, but we have a good squad, and we will continue to fight together with our fans,” he said.
The result marked Hearts’ first defeat of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, ending their unbeaten run under coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani. Despite dominating possession in the second half, the Phobians were undone by a first-half penalty converted by Morifing Donzo.
Opare Addo reiterated the club’s commitment to regroup and return stronger as they prepare to face Swedru All Blacks.
