Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has argued that although his side didn’t play their best football against Asante Kotoko in their Super Clash on Sunday, they didn’t deserve to lose the match.
The coach and his Phobians suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Porcupine Warriors today in a Week 9 fixture of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
In the highly anticipated showdown between the two most successful Ghanaian clubs, a solitary strike from Guinean striker Morifing Donzo secured all three points for Asante Kotoko.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Didi Dramani accepted the result but insisted that the scoreline was not a fair reflection of the contest.
“We lost. I think we didn’t deserve to lose, in my opinion, and everyone who observed the game, not just watching. We didn’t do well in some areas, and we need to improve,” the Hearts of Oak coach said.
The result from Sunday’s Super Clash means Asante Kotoko are now the only unbeaten side in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
Hearts of Oak, after tasting their first defeat of the campaign, have dropped to fifth in the league standings.
