Bechem United are set to hand the reins to seasoned Ghanaian coach Kwabena Amissah as they seek to arrest their early-season slump in the Ghana Premier League, Asempa FM reports.
The decision follows the dismissal of Desmond Issah-Botchway on Monday after a poor run of form that has produced just one victory in eight league outings.
That sequence has left the Hunters languishing near the foot of the table, with Saturday’s flat goalless draw at home to Nations FC proving the tipping point.
Assistant coach Bright Anthony Konadu was also shown the exit.
Amissah, a respected name on the domestic scene, is expected to be unveiled together with Mallam Yahaya, who is lined up to serve as his deputy.
The experienced trainer has previously taken charge of Elmina Sharks, Sekondi Hasaacas and Berekum Chelsea, but his standout achievement remains guiding Bibiani GoldStars to a historic maiden promotion to the top flight.
If confirmed, Amissah’s first assignment will be a tricky Matchday 9 trip this weekend to face Young Apostles, as Bechem United look to spark a revival.
