Ragnar Ache opened the scoring for FC Koln with a fine finish in the 25th minute, setting the tone for a dominant 4â1 victory over Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga.
The German-Ghanaian striker, who started and played 73 minutes, impressed the home crowd with his energy and strength, winning the most duels (8) in the match.
Florian Kainz doubled Koln’s lead early in the second half with a superb free kick, but Jean-Luc Dompe briefly gave Hamburg hope by pulling one back in the 61st minute. However, two late red cards for the visitors, to Immanuel Pherai and Fabio Vieira, left them vulnerable. Koln capitalized on their advantage, with Said El Mala and Jakub Kaminski both finding the net in stoppage time to seal a convincing win.
The result lifted spirits at the RheinEnergieStadion as Koln fans celebrated Ache’s strong performance and the team’s attacking display.
The Billy Goats now shift focus to their upcoming league clash with Borussia Monchengladbach on November 8.
