Debibi United continued their impressive run with a hard-fought 2-1 comeback victory over KAC Soccer Academy on Saturday in the Access Bank Division One League Zone One.
Leslie Aryeetey gave the visitors the lead in the 36th minute, but Kwadwo Antwi equalised four minutes before halftime. Asamoah Eugene then produced a brilliant strike in the 71st minute to complete the turnaround. The result extends Debibi United’s unbeaten run in Zone One B to five matches, including four straight wins, placing them top of the table with 13 points.
In Tamale, Real Tamale United (RTU) came from behind to defeat Northern City 3-2 in a thrilling city derby at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. Dennis Nti Sarkodie opened the scoring for the hosts, but Rahim Akanta levelled before halftime.
An own goal from Douglas Boateng and a penalty from Abdul Basit Lamale put RTU in control before Isaac Acheampong netted a late consolation. The victory lifts RTU to the summit of Zone One A with 11 points.
Elsewhere, Tamale City maintained their unbeaten start with a 2-1 win over Sankara Nationals in Yendi. Mohammed Musah scored twice within six minutes to secure the win, earning the Player of the Match award.
