Medeama Sporting Club head coach Ibrahim Tanko was full of praise for his players on Sunday after their hard-fought 1-0 victory against Swedru All Blacks in the Ghana Premier League.
The Tarkwa-based side hosted their opponent from Swedru at TnA Stadium on Sunday in a Week 7 encounter of the ongoing 2025/26 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
Highly-rated defender Kamaradini Mamudu squandered a penalty kick in the first half but scored in the second half to earn all points for Medeama SC.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Ibrahim Tanko shared concern about the poor performance of his players in the first half, but praised them for fighting to win the game at the end of the 90 minutes.
“It was a really tough game, and I must admit this was the worst first half we played since I came here, but it’s all part of football. The most important thing is to have the three points, and this is what we have done. So, although it was hard, I congratulate the boys for fighting to get the three points,” Tanko said.
Following the win against All Blacks, Medeama SC remain top of the Ghana Premier League standings after Week 7 with 16 points.
