Interim head coach of Bibiani Gold Stars, Nana Yaw Amankwah, has urged his players to build on their impressive win against Heart of Lions to improve ahead of upcoming matches in the Ghana Premier League.
The Bibiani-based club hosted Lions at Duns Park on Monday in their Week 6 encounter of the 2025/26 league campaign.
Despite a slow start to the game that allowed the visitors to dominate the early proceedings, Gold Stars managed to turn things around, cruising to a 3-1 victory at the end of the 90 minutes.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Nana Yaw Amankwah applauded his players for the victory, but stressed that they must continue working hard.
“You could see that in the first half, the first 15 minutes, Heart of Lions were up, and they missed a lot of chances. We came in and we dominated the game, and that's how we were able to score three,” the interim head coach of Gold Stars said.
He continued, “There is room for improvement. We will continue to work hard, and we know if we do well, we can win that game.”
After the win against Heart of Lions, Gold Stars have moved to seventh in the Ghana Premier League standings with nine points, and one outstanding league match to play.
