Former Watford captain Troy Deeney has suggested Chelsea as a potential destination for Bournemouth’s in-form forward Antoine Semenyo.
The Ghanaian international has been one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists in just seven appearances for the Cherries. His blistering form has reignited speculation linking him with a move to a top club.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 17 October, Deeney said: “I like him at Chelsea. I’d play him off the right and put Estevao on the left because that’s an area you’re not really sure about.”
He added that at just 18, Estevao is a “wonderkid,” and pairing him with Semenyo could give Chelsea dynamic width.
Semenyo, 25, signed a new five-year deal with Bournemouth in the summer, with Sky Sports valuing him at around £70 million. Reports also suggest his contract includes a release clause.
Despite Chelsea’s wealth of attacking options, including Estevao Willian, Pedro Neto, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrique George, and Jamie Gittens, Deeney believes Semenyo’s pace, versatility, and direct style make him a strong fit for Stamford Bridge.
