
The Upper East Regional Football Association (UERFA) on Thursday held its annual Ordinary Congress at the Regional House of Chiefs in Bolgatanga.
The congress, which officially ushered in the new football season, brought together key stakeholders, including club administrators, District Football Association chairmen, representatives from the Referees and Coaches Associations, players, and other football bodies.
In his address, UERFA Chairman Alhaji Salifu Seidu Zida urged clubs to remain united and collaborative to ensure the smooth and effective running of football activities across the region. He highlighted teamwork and discipline as essential ingredients for sustaining the game’s growth.
Executive Council member and Greater Accra Regional FA Chairman, Mr Samuel Aboabire, represented GFA President Kurt Okraku at the event. He reaffirmed the GFA’s commitment to supporting regional football development and announced the continuation of the Regional U15 and U17 Boys and Girls Championships, with each regional champion receiving medals and a GHâµ10,000 cash prize.
The 2025/26 Upper East Regional Second Division League is set to kick off on October 31, 2025, promising another competitive and exciting campaign across the region.
