Ghana head coach Otto Addo has heaped praise on experienced Ghanaian tactician James Kwesi Appiah, describing him as someone he likes a lot.
Addo, in an interview with Kafui Dey on his YouTube Channel, described the former Black Stars coach as a person with class, recounting how he gave him words of encouragement after Sudan beat Ghana in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Indicating that he has a very good relationship with Kwesi Appiah, Otto Addo added that he learns from him as well.
“He is really a calm guy, a guy with class. Even when they won against us, he was down to earth, gave me some good words. I really like him as a person and also as a coach. These are guys I like to learn from,” Otto Addo said.
Otto Addo continues to receive praise after leading Ghana to qualify for a fifth World Cup.
The qualification confirmed last Sunday after a 1-0 victory against Comoros meant that Otto Addo became the only coach in the history of the Black Stars to qualify the side to the World Cup on two different occasions.
He now has seven months to prepare a team that can compete with 47 other countries at the World Cup next year.
