President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has praised the leadership of Jordan Ayew and Alexander Djiku following the Black Stars' qualification to the World Cup.
The duo were named captain and deputy captain following a shaky start to the qualifiers and Ghana's shocking AFCON failure.
Ayew and Djiku made huge impact as the Black Stars recovered from the disappointment of failing to reach the Nations Cup to storm their way into next summer's World Cup in USA, Canada and Mexico.
The Leicester City forward and captain of the Black Stars, Ayew, scored seven goals and delivered seven assists to lead the way in goal contribution while Djiku provided still at the back and also scored two goals.
After a series of post on social media celebrating the latest success, Kurt Okraku added 'top leaders' with the photo of the duo as he recognised their role in the qualification.
The Black Stars will participate in an international tournament in Asia next month as part of preparations ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana will also find out about their opponents in a draw to be held in Washington, DC on December 5, 2025.
