
Gregory de Grauwe, the video analyst of the Black Stars, has shared his wildest dream of playing a role at the FIFA World Cup.
The Belgian trainer joined Ghana's technical team in January 2025 following the Black Stars AFCON qualification disappointment.
De Grauwe played an important role as the Black Stars became an instant set-piece threat in matches, helping Ghana revive their World Cup dream.
Although De Grauwe had dreams of being at the biggest stage, he had know idea it will come with him being part of the Black Stars.
"We’re going to the World Cup!" an excited de Grauwe posted on Instagram. "I’m incredibly honoured to be part of this journey," he added.
"Playing in front of an amazing home crowd, working with some of the best players in the world, and being surrounded by a top-class staff⦠It’s a privilege. Thank you to the people who believed in me and gave me this opportunity! I’ll never take it for granted."
The UEFA License B holder has worked with several Belgian clubs and was a lecturer at the Royal Belgium Football Association before joining the Black Stars.
He continued: "Six years ago, I would’ve never dared to dream of this. But in early 2025, the dream started to take shape⦠and now, look where we’re heading: USA, Canada and Mexico. Let’s go to the World Cup. Let’s make history together!"
