Comoros head coach Stefano Cusin has praised Ghana's qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and backed the Black Stars to have an impressive campaign at next year's global tournament.
The visiting coach made the comments after his team's 1-0 defeat to Ghana at the Accra Sports Stadium, a result that secured the Black Stars' place at their fifth World Cup.
"You [Ghana] have wonderful players, you have history, you have experience and everything, so I am sure you are going to make a great World Cup," Cusin stated in his post-match press conference.
The victory saw Ghana finish atop Group I in the African qualifiers, continuing their strong record of reaching six of the last seven World Cup tournaments.
While Comoros fell short in their World Cup qualification bid, they will feature in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, drawn in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Zambia and Mali.
