Ghana’s Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has urged the Black Stars to go into their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Comoros with a revenge mentality.
The Black Stars will host their counterparts from Comoros on Sunday, October 12, in their final game in the qualifiers for next year’s World Cup.
Ghana, in the last two matches against Comoros, have failed to secure a win, losing to the side at the last Africa Cup of Nations tournament and Round 2 of the current World Cup qualifiers.
According to Kofi Adams, the Black Stars must fight for a win in the upcoming contest to avenge the defeats from the last two matches.
“Black Stars must see our game against Comoros as revenge,” Kofi Adams told Adom FM in an interview.
The match between Ghana and Comoros is scheduled to kick off at 7 pm at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Leading Group I with 22 points, the Black Stars are in pole position to secure qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Comoros, on the other hand, cannot qualify even with another win against Ghana on Sunday.
