
Former Ghana international Asamoah Gyan has emphasized the importance of a consistent Black Stars team following their emphatic win against Central African Republic in the penultimate 2026 World Cup qualifier.
The West African football heavyweights made light work of their opponent on Wednesday afternoon in Meknes, Morocco following an outstanding display.
Goals from Mohammed Salisu, Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, Alexander Djiku, and Kamaldeen Sulemana saw the Black Stars extend their lead in Group I to 22 points.
The emphatic win at Meknes in Morocco leaves Ghana just one point away from qualifying for the 2026 World Cup to be staged in the USA, Canada and Mexico next year.
“We need to be more consistent. Consistency is very important in the game” he said after the thrilling clash in the North African country.
Ghana play Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday to close out its 2026 World Cup qualification campaign.
