Bechem United head coach Desmond-Issah Botchway was left frustrated on Friday afternoon after his team drew goalless with Hearts of Oak in Week 4 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The result underlined the Hunters’ profligacy in front of goal this season. The team in the first four matches has only scored one goal, failing to win any of the games.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Desmond-Issah Botchway expressed his disappointment, adding that he does not know why his team is struggling to convert chances.
“I’m a little bit disappointed in the game because of the lack of creativity in the last third. We did a lot, and I was expecting the boys to do more than they did today. They didn’t sacrifice a little bit of the team. I’m surprised, and it gets me confused,” the Bechem United coach said.
Desmond-Issah Botchway added, “It’s getting too much on my head. We have done goal scoring, we have done finishing a lot, and I don’t know why these things are happening to us. As a tactical man, I have to go back to the drawing board and see what is going on.”
After the draw with Hearts of Oak, Bechem United have moved to 14th in the league standings, with two points from their first four matches of the season.
The team must now prepare for their Week 5 clash against Young Apostles on October 12.
