The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed the appointment of Nurudeen Ahmed as the new head coach of the U-19 Boys National Team.
Ahmed, who currently manages Ghana Premier League side Karela United, will lead the technical team as preparations commence for the next cycle of youth competitions.
The highly respected tactician guided FC Samartex to their historic maiden Ghana Premier League title in the 2023/24 season and has previously handled Aduana Stars and King Faisal. Ahmed, who is known for his eye for talent and ability to build competitive squads, is expected to inject fresh energy into Ghana’s youth football project.
Joining him in the technical setup is Abubakar Adams, head coach of PAC Academy, as Assistant Coach. Former Ghana Premier League goal-king and ex-Asante Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe takes up the role of Athletic Coach, while fellow ex-international Eric Gawu will serve as Equipment Officer.
PAC Academy’s Stephen Ekow Davies is named Goalkeepers’ Coach, with Fatawu Mohammed as Welfare Officer. The medical team comprises Dr Yusif Andani as Team Doctor and Prince Deku as Physiotherapist.
The appointments reflect the GFA’s strategy to strengthen youth development and create a pathway for grooming Ghana’s future football stars.
