Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, will open camp on Sunday as preparations intensify for their final two fixtures in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The four-time African champions are set to face the Central African Republic and Comoros in their Matchday 9 and 10 encounters later this month.
Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, confirmed the team’s programme in an interview on Woezor TV’s Arena.
He explained that players in action for their clubs on Saturday will report to camp on Sunday, while those featuring on Sunday will join the squad the following day.
"We are expecting the players who will play on Saturday to arrive in camp on Sunday, and those who will play on Sunday to report to camp on Monday.
"Depending on the number of home-based players who will make the cut, they will join the rest of the technical team and the entire contingent in Morocco," he added.
Asante Twum further disclosed that head coach Otto Addo has already submitted and defended his final squad list for the upcoming qualifiers.
Ghana will play Central African Republic at the Stade d'Honneur de Meknes in Morocco on Wednesday, October 8, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 GMT.
The Black Stars will then return home to host Comoros in their final qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 12.
