The University of Ghana Stadium has been closed for renovation works, compelling Dreams FC and Eleven Wonders to adopt temporary home venues for the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
University authorities have closed down the facility for maintenance, rendering it unavailable beyond this month. The development has disrupted the home plans of the two Premier League clubs, who had selected the stadium as their first-choice venue for the campaign.
As a result, Dreams FC will play their home matches at the Tuba Astro Turf, while Eleven Wonders will shift to the Swedru Sports Stadium, home of Swedru All Blacks, until renovation works at the UG Stadium are completed.
The relocation will begin immediately, with Dreams FC set to host Vision FC at the Tuba Astro Turf, and Eleven Wonders preparing to welcome Young Apostles at the Swedru Sports Stadium in their respective upcoming fixtures.
Both clubs are expected to return to the University of Ghana Stadium once refurbishment works are completed, but in the interim, they will be hoping to make their temporary venues strongholds as the Premier League season unfolds.
