Black Stars forward Joseph Paintsil has been named in the Major League Soccer Team of the Week after his Man of the Match display for Los Angeles Galaxy against Sporting Kansas City.
The Ghanaian forward scored a hat-trick to inspire the 2024 MLS champions to a thumping 4-1 victory over Sporting KC at the Dignity Health Park on Saturday.
His performance earned his a place in the best eleven of the weekend alongside Tottenham Hotspur and South Korea legend Heung-min Son.
Also making the team are Dor Turgeman of New England Revolution, who joined the aforementioned in the attack of the Team of the Week.
Indiana Vassilev of Philadelphia Union, Nectarios Triantis of Minnesota United, Real Salt Lake's Braian Ojeda and Dante Sealy of Montreal occupy the midfield.
And in defence Andrew Gutman of Chicago Fore, New York City FC's Thiago Martins and Alex Freeman of Orlando make the three-man defence.
Sean Johnson of Toronto FC takes his place between the sticks in the MLS Team of the Week.
