Eleven Wonders head coach Nii Odartey Lamptey has acknowledged the significant challenge ahead as his team prepares to face Accra Hearts of Oak in their Week 3 Ghana Premier League clash at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday.
The former Ghana international described the encounter with the Phobians as "a big task" while addressing the media during his pre-match press conference. Lamptey emphasised the need to properly motivate his players for what promises to be a demanding fixture against one of Ghana's most storied clubs.
"Playing against Accra Hearts of Oak is a big task, but then we will motivate the boys to be able to give their best to the team against Hearts of Oak tomorrow," Lamptey stated, recognising the quality and pedigree of their opponents.
Despite acknowledging the difficulty of the match, Lamptey expressed confidence in his team's preparation and approach. The coach revealed he had conducted thorough analysis of Hearts of Oak's recent performances, suggesting he has identified areas his team can exploit.
The match presents Eleven Wonders with one of their toughest tests early in the season as they face a Hearts of Oak side under the guidance of experienced coach Didi Dramani. Lamptey's comments reflect both respect for the opposition and belief in his own team's capabilities as they seek a positive result against the Phobians.
Friday's encounter kicks off at 5:00 pm at the Accra Sports Stadium, with both teams looking to build momentum in the early stages of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
