Black Queens forward Princess Marfo has rejoined Danish side FC Nordsjaelland after a season-and-a-half stint with American club Bay FC.
The Ghanaian attacker left Nordsjaelland having made 46 appearances since first pulling on the red shirt in 2022 and now returns to Farum eager to resume where she left off.
Born in Ghana and developed through the Right to Dream Academy, Marfo rose to prominence at Nordsjaelland before earning a move to the United States.
During her time in the National Women’s Soccer League she broke into the Black Queens setup, featuring for Ghana at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where she helped the team finish third after defeating South Africa in the play-off.
Marfo said the decision to come back to Nordsjaelland was straightforward.
“I’ve missed the family I feel I have here in Farum. I was at the Right to Dream Academy for 12 years, and of course that has been a huge part of my life. That’s why I also associate it with family and togetherness, and that’s what I need right now. So when I got the call from FCN, I took it and said yes straight away.”
Her return is seen as a major boost for Nordsjaelland’s attack ahead of the new Danish league campaign.
