Black Starlets captain Joseph Narbi says the team is in high spirits and fully focused ahead of their opening match against Togo in the WAFU Zone B U-17 Boys Championship.
Narbi, who leads a youthful but determined squad, shared that preparations have gone smoothly and the players are eager to get started in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast.
"We are ready for Togo. The training sessions have gone very well and everyone is focused on the task ahead," he said.
The skipper’s calm assurance comes as good news for Ghana, who have all 23 players available after successfully passing the mandatory MRI test. With a full squad to choose from, head coach Prosper Ogum will have plenty of options as he sets up his team for the opener.
The Black Starlets are placed in Group A alongside hosts Ivory Coast, Niger, and Togo. The boys in red, yellow, and green know that strong performances will be vital, with qualification for the 2025 U17 Africa Cup of Nations the ultimate goal.
