The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Stephen Appiah, former General Manager of PAC Academy, who passed away about two weeks ago.
Led by GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, the delegation visited the family on Thursday to express their support and solidarity in this period of mourning.
Until his passing, Appiah was a respected figure in Ghanaian football administration. He previously served as General Manager of the former Division One League side Achiken FC before moving to PAC Academy. He was also a member of the Ashanti Regional Football Association’s Executive Committee, where he played a vital role in advancing grassroots football.
The GFA delegation included Vice President Mark Addo, Executive Council member Frederick Acheampong, Chief of Staff Michael Osekere, and Abdulai Amidu (Camarat), a member of the National Juvenile Committee. They extended their condolences to Mrs Appiah and the bereaved family, offering words of comfort during this difficult time.
The visit followed the GFA’s earlier participation in the funeral of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, where the Association joined other dignitaries to pay respects.
The GFA acknowledged Stephen Appiah’s immense contributions to football in the Ashanti Region, particularly in juvenile and Division One football development.
