Managing Director of Hearts of Oak, Delali Anku-Adiamah, has backed Asante Kotoko and Bibiani GoldStars ahead of their respective Africa campaign.
Premier League champions, GoldStars, will represent the country in the CAF Champions League, while Kotoko, who clinched their 10th FA Cup title, will feature in the Confederation Cup.
Ahead of their opening games this weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium, Mr Anku-Adiamah has urged the two teams not to disappoint as the country aims to reclaim its four slots in Africa.
"Asante Kotoko and Bibiani GoldStars are now representing Ghana in Africa, and if they perform, the flag of Ghana will be raised high, and the farther they can go in the competition, the more slots we can get in the future, so we as a club wish them the very best," he told Asempa FM.
Bibiani GoldStars will host Algerian side JS Kabylie in the first leg on Saturday, September 20, while Asante Kotoko face Nigerian side Kwara United on Sunday, September 21.
Both clubs have undergone intensive preparations and are determined to make a strong impact, as Ghana looks to reclaim its place among Africa’s football elite.
