Black Princesses have left Accra for Tunisia to honour the first leg of their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying clash against the Tunisian U-20 women’s national team.
The opening leg is scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Tayeb Mhiri Stadium in Sfax, with the return fixture set for Sunday, September 28, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ghana will aim to secure a favourable result away from home as they push towards their eighth consecutive qualification for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Poland.
Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku visited the team before their departure. Okraku praised their consistency and dominance on the continent, noting that the Princesses remain Ghana’s most reliable national team, having qualified for every edition of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in the past seven tournaments.
“You’ve always been at the World Cup and showcased your quality,” Okraku said. “This team has the quality to beat any side in Africa. Once you overcome this encounter, any other opponent will be a stepping stone to success. We expect you to qualify for the World Cup, which is our ultimate goal.”
He also urged the players to stay focused, work hard, and seize opportunities to build professional careers, assuring them of the Association’s support.
