Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has paid a visit to Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini following his recent ankle surgery.
Fuseini, who plays for Belgian champions Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, picked up the injury earlier this season and has since been sidelined.
The setback came after he impressed for Ghana, scoring in the Unity Cup against Trinidad & Tobago in May, underlining his growing influence for the national team.
The injury ruled him out of Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Mali in June, fixtures that ended with mixed fortunes for the Black Stars. They beat Mali 1-0 in Accra after a 1-1 draw against Chad away.
At club level, he has managed only two appearances so far this campaign and was absent from Union Saint-Gilloise’s UEFA Champions League opener against PSV Eindhoven. His teammates, however, marked their maiden group-stage appearance with a stunning 3-1 away victory at the Philips Stadion.
Fuseini was one of the standout performers last season, playing a key role as Union Saint-Gilloise clinched their first Belgian league title in 90 years, securing qualification for Europe’s elite competition.
